A recent batch of unsealed documents related to Jeffrey Epstein has reignited controversy with explosive allegations from accuser Sarah Ransome. The documents include claims that Epstein filmed her friend having sex with several high-profile figures, including former President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and entrepreneur Richard Branson.
According to the documents, Ransome alleged that her friend had sexual encounters with these men on separate occasions and that each incident was recorded. “My friend had sexual intercourse with Clinton, Prince Andrew, and Richard Branson; sex tapes were in fact filmed on each separate occasion,” Ransome claimed. She also stated that she persuaded her friend to send her some of the video footage and that she has backed up the footage on multiple USB sticks, storing them in various locations throughout Europe for safekeeping.
However, the credibility of these claims was later undermined when Ransome retracted her statements in 2016, admitting to The New Yorker that she had fabricated the existence of the tapes to draw attention to Epstein’s illicit activities. Despite this retraction, the allegations have continued to fuel speculation and controversy.
The documents also include Ransome’s claims that her friend was silenced by the Clinton presidential campaign in 2008 and received a payout from the Clinton Foundation in exchange for her silence. Ransome further alleged that her friend was forced to sign a legally binding confidentiality agreement and threatened with death if she broke the agreement. She also claimed that her friend had a sexual relationship with former President Donald Trump and that these encounters occurred regularly at Epstein’s New York mansion.
The unsealed records are part of an ongoing release of documents related to Epstein, which include the names of his associates, workers, witnesses, and victims. These documents stem from a 2015 civil lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre, who accused Epstein’s former girlfriend and British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking.
All of the accused—Clinton, Trump, Prince Andrew, and Branson—have denied the allegations made against them.
