“Surprise!” That was the caption of a recent Twitter post from “Without Me” singer Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, known professionally as Halsey. After suffering a miscarriages in 2015, the 26 year old pop singer Halsey announced on Twitter that she is going to have a “Miracle Baby”. Halsey said in a later interview that she had frozen some of her eggs.
“My rainbow,” Halsey wrote in her tweet, referring to a “rainbow baby,” the term used for a baby that is delivered after a prior miscarriage, stillbirth or death. Halsey’s tweet ended with emojis of a bottle, a rainbow and a baby angel.
In 2016 Halsey told Rolling Stone magazine that she wanted to be a mom, ““More than I want to be anything in the world”, and in a 2020 interview with The Guardian she said, “It’s the most inadequate I’ve ever felt, here I am achieving this out-of-control life, and I can’t do the one thing I’m biologically put on this earth to do.
After producing her most recent album, “Manic”, in 2020, Halsey canceled her promotional tour due to the coronavirus pandemic.
