A report in BuzzFeed said Sera Johnston, a Canadian woman who now goes by the name Lauren, had accused actor Timothy Hutton of rape when she was just 14 years old.
In the Buzzfeed report, Johnston alleges that she and two of her friends were invited to a hotel room to “party” with Timothy Hutton and many of his male friends in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1983 when Timothy Hutton was 23 years old.
Johnston said that after arriving in Hutton’s hotel room, she felt immediately uncomfortable because there was drinking, but she said Hutton and one of his friends eventually lead her to a bedroom where Hutton allegedly raped her, while his friend watched. She said Hutton also attempted to force her to perform oral sex on him.
Hutton has denied any wrongdoing and said that he “will not spend one more minute dignifying these allegations as they are patently false and designed only to extort money from him.”
