Why Amy Schumer Named Her Son ‘Genital’

Amy Schumer admitted she made a mistake when she gave her son his middle ‘Attell’ because of her long time friend and fellow comedian, Dave Attell.

Schumer gave her newborn son the first name of “Gene”, but when combined with the middle name “Attell” she admitted it sounded a little rude after fans pointed out to her that when combined they sounded like “genital fissure,” and many fans thought it was a joke.

It wasn’t a joke, Schumer said, and she changed the child’s middle name to “David”, “It’s now Gene David Fischer. It was Gene Attell Fischer but we realised that we, by accident, named our son, ‘genital'”, Schumer said.
