‘The Voice’s’ Melanie Martinez denies accusations of sexual assault by her former friend

Fox News has reported that “The Voice” star singer Melanie Martinez has been accused of sex assault by a former friend, who claims she “repeatedly” refused her sexual advances.

Aspiring Los Angeles based singer, Timothy Heller, said, “I have kept this secret for years, convincing myself that it wasn’t a big deal and I wasn’t hurt by it. The thought of accepting that my best friend raped me seems insane… When faced with a friend who really needed help though, I can honestly say she let me down completely.”

Heller did not specify when the alleged assault occurred, but said they occurred “during the most difficult time in my life, my rock bottom,”.

Martinez said she was “horrified” by the allegations, and denies them, saying Heller “never said no to what we chose to do together.”
