    Just four months after the #MeToo movement inspired a nationwide conversation about sexual misconduct, and leading to the downfall of many powerful American men, a backlash seems to be under way. Women are divided amongst themselves as more men are beginning to speak out, words such as “revenge porn” and “witch hunt” are turning up in opinion pieces and on social media, particularly after one unidentified woman said her weekend date withcomedian Aziz Ansari left her feeling “violated”.

    Ansari said he believed their sexual activity was completely consensual, “When I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. I took her words to heart and responded privately”.
